
INFRA Endorsement
All of our incense conforms in its entirety with the regulations
of IFRA (International Fragrance Association). This professional
body was created in 1973 in Brussels to regulate the development
and manufacture of perfume and fragrances.
- Its mission is defined as follows:
To undertake research into fragrance
- To establish legislation and regulations on the materials used
in addition to high quality levels of manufacture.
- Communicate a code of practice set up in accordance with a
commission of expert scientists known as TAC (Technical Adviser
Consultants) and a commission of experts in the profession itself
known as JAC (Joint Adviser Consultants).
Six tests are systematically carried out to check for possible
negative effects on health:
- Test of toxicity with regard to oral ingestion
- Test of toxicity with regard to contact with the skin3
- Test of chronic toxicity where there is repeated contact with
the skin
- Test of toxicity for the eyes.
- Test for provocation of any skin allergies
- Test to check for eventual toxicity under the influence of
light.
- There are 14 nations represented in this International Organisation.
